This site celebrates the life of Jack Vernon (1922-2010).

Jack Allen Vernon, Ph.D., was the founder of the Oregon Hearing Research Center at Oregon Health Science University (OHSU) in Portland. His work at identifying and treating tinnitus (ringing of the ear) came to the rescue of tinnitus sufferers around the world and inspired many other researchers and doctors to follow in his footsteps. Contributions in Jack's memory may be made to the Jack Vernon Endowed Fund for Hearing Research, a new fund established to advance the work of the Oregon Hearing Research Center.
